Day 1 : Marrakech - Marrakech Reception at the airport and transfer to a hotel or riad. Day 2 : Marrakech - Skoura After breakfast, we will check out and depart from Marrakech to Ouarzazate through the Atlas Mountains and over Tizi-n-Tichka at 2260 meters. There are a number of opportunities to stop and take photos. Otherwise, the first scheduled stop is to visit the Kasbah of Telouate, which served as a palatial residence and the headquarters of the powerful Glaoui tribe, and then drive along the track which crosses Oumila Valley and leads to the village of Ait Ben Haddou (classified as as international tourist site by UNISCO) - one of the most beautiful preserved villages in the south of Morocco. There, we will have lunch. After the arrival in Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Morocco), it is possible to visit the studios of cinema, where films like Gladiator, Cléopâtre, Astérix, and many others were shot. Then we will drive to Skoura to have dinner and spend the night in a hotel. Day 3 : Ouarzazate - Todgha Gorges After breakfast, we will check out and depart to Todgha Gorges, passing the Oasis of Skoura, where Amridil kasbah and others, sadly in ruins, stand amongst the palm trees. From here, our route takes us to Kela’a M’gouna, the Valley of the Roses, via Bouteghrare track which leads to the road of the thousand Kasbahs. We drive off-road to the Dades Gorges for lunch. After lunch, we will continue to Tinghir to spend the third night in the Todgha Gorges. Day 4 : Todgha Gorges - Merzouga After the visit of the Gorges, we will have 1 hour stroll in Tinghir palm grove. Then, we will visit of the old village of the Jews. After that, we will leave to Merzouga dunes via Erfoud and Fezna Oasis. After having tea in an inn at the foot of the dunes, we continue our trip to the dunes in time for a two-hour camel ride in the Sahara. The sunset from the top of the Erg Chebbi Dunes is spectacular (250m). Afterwards, there is dinner and the night in the bivouac under the Berber tents at the foot of the dunes. Day 5 : Merzouga - Zagora If we wake up early enough, we can watch the spectacle of the sunrise: the colour of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight. The return to Merzouga is on camel back, which takes about two hours. After a shower in a hostel, we will drive to Rissani and Zagora by Alnif and N’kob (villages of 45 kasbahs). Then, you will hit the track to Zauiate Tafechtna where you will enjoy the panoramic views of the abundant Ternata large palm trees and the ancient kasbahs. When we arrive in Zagora, we will check in to have dinner and spend the night there. Day 6 : Zagora - Marrakech After the visit of the old library and the under ground village of Tamegroute, we will take Draa road back to Ouarzazate passing by Agdez and the collar of Tizi-n-Tounfifte. We will have lunch in Ouarzazate and continue towards Marrakech. Upon arrival in Marrakech, We will check in to spend the night. Day 7 : Marrakech - Marrakech We will have a free day to visit the medina monuments and sites and/or do shopping. Day 8 : Transfer Transfer to the airport, end of the tour.
